Applause erupted around them.
The people in the restaurant stood up and cheered when Rohan swept
Amelia up in his arms and kissed her.

Tessa squirmed when Amelia
and Rohan carried her between them and kissed her resoundingly on her
cheeks.

Peering at Amelia, Tessa said
shyly, “Mom?”

“Yes,” Amelia
answered at once.

The little girl's face split
in a grin. “Mom...this is so awesome!” she cheered.
“You're my teacher and my mom! Miss Amelia is my mom!”

“And my mate,”
Rohan added proudly.

“I am,” Amelia
said, laughing. “And yes, this is so awesome!”

Amelia sat back down at the
table and finished her dinner with her family. Tessa was already on
the phone with her Uncle Edriq and Uncle Zul. “She said yes!”

Amelia could hear Edriq and
Zul's joyous laughter and whoops over the phone. She smiled happily
as Rohan kissed her hand. They were her brothers now, her family.

“Shall we go home?”

Hand in hand, Amelia walked
out of the restaurant with her mate and daughter. She looked back at
the cozy, little restaurant and smiled.

“This is my favorite
restaurant,” she told Tessa. This was where she had her first
date with Rohan, and this was where he'd first kissed her.

And this was where she'd said
yes to the rest of her life.

“Can we come here
again?” Tessa asked.

“Of course, darling, of
course!”
