Wyatt

Steph still wouldn’t speak to me and I couldn’t blame her.  I messed up big.  I swore just last year that I would never drink that much.  I was wrong, and I was paying for it.  It was New Year’s Eve, and I hadn’t spoken to her in just over a month.  I called her every single day just hoping that she would answer, but she still hadn’t.  Phil told me that I should just give her space but I couldn’t.  I couldn’t let her go.  It was so bad that I still carried her ring in my pocket every day.  My office was throwing a New Year’s party for clients this year.  I wasn’t going to go but Phil convinced me that I needed to get out of the house.  I would much rather be on my couch drinking myself into a stupor but I decide to go and show my face for a bit.  I figured I could get in and out of the party and be back home on my couch and halfway to passed out drunk before the ball dropped.

Corporate decided that the party was formal this year.  It was a catered event in the ballroom of one of the upscale hotels in the area.  I already had the tux.  I just changed up the bow tie and vest, instead of silver I went with champagne.  I had already done my rounds, saying “hi” to clients.  So I grabbed a drink and was standing by the window looking out at the city admiring the skyline. I knew she was out there and I needed her but she wasn’t ready to forgive me.  My plan was to finish my drink, make the rounds one more time then I would head home.  I was not in the mood to be around a bunch of people, especially ones that were going to be counting down to their happy new year when mine was complete shit.  I was enjoying the skyline, taking the last few sips of my bourbon when I heard it.  It was the song that Stephane introduced me to.  The one that I played the night I asked her to marry me.  “Eli Yamming” was singing in my ear and my heart thudded in my chest.  That was our song.  I wanted desperately to turn around and see her standing there but I knew it was too good to be true.  I couldn’t bring myself to do it.  I couldn’t turn around and not see her.

“You know he came in third place on the fifth season of American Idol.”
It can’t be.

My heart literally skipped a beat.  It couldn’t be.

“You know this song was originally written by Leon Russell.”

“I prefer the Donny Hathaway version,” I said as I turned.  It was her, and she was immaculate.  I had never seen her look more beautiful. She had on a floor length champagne and sequence gown.  Her hair was swept into some type of pinned up style.  She was truly striking.  If I didn’t think she’d slap me, I would have taken her into some conference room to show her how beautiful I thought she was and more importantly how much I missed her.

“The Donny version is nice too.” She laughed.

“Stephane!”

I’m a big man but I broke down in tears.

“Hi baby,” she smiled.
God how I missed that smile.

“What…what are you doing here?”

“Should I leave?”

“No! Absolutely not!  I was just…I’m just surprised.”

“Wyatt I had to come see you and set some things straight.  First I love you!”

“I love you too baby, so much!”

“I know Wyatt. I do.  I also need to say I’m sorry.”

“No I’m sorry!  I have never been sorrier in my life.”

“Wyatt, stop.  Do you know Bethany?”

“Bethany, yea she’s April’s best friend, why?”

“Because I spoke to her the other day.”

“Why would you talk to Bethany? What did she say? That April is taking me to court for child support?  I wouldn’t expect anything less.”

“I don’t think there will be any need for that.”

“Wait what? What does that mean?”

“Baby, April’s baby isn’t yours.  You aren’t the father.”

“How do you know?”

“Well unless she can perform miracles, it would be impossible.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Baby you didn’t slept with April.  She played you, she played us.”

“Wait how do you know this?”

“Bethany told me. She was there that night.  She told me everything.”

She told me the entire conversation.  I was so relieved.

“That manipulative bitch, what the fuck is wrong with her?”

“She’s got some serious issues that’s for sure but let’s not spend any more time thinking about her. I’ve missed you.”

“Baby, I missed you more than you know.”

“I think you should show me.”

“My pleasure.”

We found an empty office that had a great view of the city.  She was leaning against the desk, with the moonlight hitting her. It’s a sight that will be etched into my memory for a long time.  I don’t think I’ve seen her look more beautiful.  I slid my hand up the slit in her dress. She wasn’t wearing anything underneath.

“You did that on purpose.”   She shrugged.

“Maybe.”

I lifted the bottom of her dress to her waist and grabbed her ass,
damn I missed this.
I moved my hand from her ass and reached underneath her to insert a finger inside her.  She was already wet.
Yes, my baby missed me.
With my other hand I grabbed her face and kissed her deep while I continued to use one finger, then two to bring her to the brink of orgasm.  I paid attention to each and every moan, every arch of her back, ever hitch of her hips.  I knew exactly how to touch her to bring her to ecstasy.  If I continued I would have had her juices all over my fingers and the desk we were on.  Not that I cared, I just wasn’t ready for her to orgasm yet.  I wanted to be deep inside of her when that happened.  Slowly I pulled both fingers out and brought them to my lips.  She grabbed my hand and sucked her juices off.

“Fuck baby you know I love when you do that.”

She smiled.  I still had her dress up to her waist, so I turned her around and bent her over the desk.  The sight of her round ass in the moonlight was almost enough to make me cum.  I held over bent over the desk, unzipped my pants and slammed into her.  I heard a crash.  She must have knocked something off of the desk trying to grab the edge to hold on.  I laughed.

“I hope you never doubt me again baby,” I said as I continued to slam into her from behind.  The band from the party covered her screams and something else crashed to the floor. With both of my hands on her hips I drove deeper and deeper inside of her.  Then the shudder that I’d been waiting for happened.  I knew she was close.  With each thrust I brought her closer, she wiggled her hips and brought me closer. It was a chain reaction.  Her legs started to shake and I knew it was just moments away.  I needed to see her face, to look into her eyes to know that we were okay.  I slid out and turned her around.  I picked her up and sat her on the edge of the desk.  She wrapped her legs around my waist.  I gently wrapped my hand around her throat and made her look at me.  Thrust after thrust, deeper and deeper I felt her clinch around me and knew she was there.  Outside I heard the band begin there countdown.  10…9…8, she shuddered harder…7…6…5, she screamed out, 4…3…my legs began to shake; I stuck my tongue deep in her mouth, 2…1…Happy New Year. I exploded deep inside of her.  I brought the New Year in inside of my love.

“Wyatt, I’m so sorry.”

“Shh…baby, we are here. We are together, we are ok.”

“Wyatt when I thought I lost you when I thought we weren’t going to be together I was miserable.  I never want to feel like that again.  I love you Wyatt.  I never want to let anyone come between us again.”

“They won’t baby.  It’s me and you against the world.”

“Promise?”

“Yes, I promise.”

“Wyatt Bradley Greenlaw, will you marry me?”

I looked at her and smiled then I reached in to my pocket.

Stephane

“Yes!” he said as he placed the ring back on my finger.
