“Lucca,” Marco growled.

Lucca’s black eyebrows rose. “So it’s like that?”

“Yes,” Marco replied.

I wasn’t sure what Lucca was used to but it was obvious he was stunned by Marco’s answer. “I’ve never known to keep a woman all to yourself.” Lucca licked his lips. “But just from that taste alone, I can’t say that I blame you. Still, it is my birthday.”

“So good to see you again, darling,” Candice purred as she pushed passed Lucca to press herself against Marco.

Marco glowered down at Candice as he took a step back, breaking contact. “Candice. I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Ella.”

“Girlfriend?” Candice looked me up and down before a laugh escaped her ruby-red lips. “You mean your
escort
for the evening.”

“Candice!” Lucca reprimanded in a harsh tone. “They’re living together, so show some respect or I’ll send you home.”

Candice rolled her eyes while I said nothing at her transparent bitterness. I’d been around women like Candice before, and I knew better than to show her that she’d upset me. Blood in the water, I reminded myself as I stared at the shark with fake tits.

Lucca returned his attention to me. Well, my chest, but he was a man. Enough said. When he licked his lips, I couldn’t stop my body’s reaction. “Marco’s told me how much he’s enjoyed your company,” Lucca began. His gaze shot to Marco. “We need to discuss my birthday present.”

Marco stiffened. He glanced around the crowd before subtly nodding his head and suddenly Vince was at his side. “Escort Ella to the bar for another drink while I have a word with my brother.”

“Yes, sir.” Vince stared down at me.

I swallowed under his scrutiny. The man was just so big. I held up my champagne glass that was still half-full. It had to be obvious to everyone around me that I didn’t need another drink, but it was equally obvious Marco wanted privacy to talk to Lucca. I hoped he would put a stop to Lucca’s leering.

Before I could pull away from Marco, he bent down and devoured my mouth in a heated kiss, prompting a rude comment from Candice. “Why don’t you just fuck right here in the middle of the room and get it over with?”

Marco broke the kiss and shot a glare at the snarky blonde before looking at Lucca. “Get her out of here. Now!”

Candice held her palms up. “No reason to get pissy, Marco. I’ll go find someone else who enjoys my company.”

Marco’s eyes narrowed as a muscle in his jaw began to twitch. “Your father still makes a good living in his retirement thanks to my generosity. If you’d like to see that continue, you will shut your fucking mouth and remove yourself from my sight.”

I was surprised by the vehemence in Marco’s tone. I hated the stupid bitch, too, but it was the second time that day I’d heard that tone—the first being when he’d been on the phone with Tony earlier. I still didn’t know what his issued warning to Tony meant, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I wanted to know.

Looking like she’d just sucked on a lemon, Candice flounced off in a huff. Yes, flounced. I’d never seen someone do it in real life, but Candice had executed the move to perfection.

“Ignore her,” Lucca said. “She’s jealous. For years she’s tried to capture Marco’s attention.”

“She’s a cunt,” Marco growled. “I don’t know how you can stand to be around her.”

Lucca chuckled. “A very talented cunt in bed, but, yes, I know what you mean.”

I didn’t care for the topic of discussion, so I turned to Vince. “Show me the way to the bar.”

Vince looked to Marco for permission.

“Bring her to Lucca’s office in ten minutes,” Marco ordered. He brushed his thumb over one of my nipples, making it pebble on contact. His nostrils flared slightly at my body’s reaction to his touch. “So receptive.” He brushed the opposite nipple until it peaked before releasing me. “I’ll see you in a few minutes.”

When I pulled my attention away from Marco, I noticed Vince and Lucca openly staring at my breast. Good grief. “Bar?” I reminded Vince.

With a sharp nod, Vince took up position in front of me to clear the partygoers from my path. I couldn’t help but notice the open hostility that radiated from quite a few women as I wove my way through the crowd. I assumed they had either been fucked by Marco in the past or wanted to be fucked by him and weren’t happy he’d brought me to the celebration.

Reaching the bar, Vince turned to me. “Another champagne?”

I tipped my glass back and drained my flute. “Might as well get two because I don’t relish the thought of walking that gauntlet again.”

Vince scanned our surroundings. “Did someone say something?”

I shook my head. “They didn’t need to. By their expressions, I know exactly what they’d like to do to me.”

“You’re a very sexy woman,” Vince replied as he continued his survey of the room.

I giggled. “It’s not the men I’m worried about.” I accepted two flutes from the bartender.

The corner of Vince’s lip quirked up. “Ignore them. Mr. Carducci is happier than I’ve ever seen him.”

I stared up at the intimidating bodyguard. I knew Marco considered him a trusted friend, but before that moment, I’d thought Vince was disgusted by my relationship with his boss. “Thank you.”

Vince glanced at his watch. “Do you need to use the restroom? We still have five minutes before I take you to Mr. Carducci.”

I smiled. I knew from overhearing conversations between them that Vince called Marco by his first name when they were in private, but the bodyguard always referred to Marco as Mr. Carducci when someone else was around.

“How long have you known Marco?” I asked, moving away from the bar.

“We grew up together. My mother used to cook for the Carducci family.”

I gestured to an empty corner of the room before walking toward it. “What was Marco like as a boy?”

Vince stood with his back to the wall, his eyes on the crowd, as he seemed to search for an answer to my question. “My mother started bringing me to work with her because she said the boys were lonely. Things were…different when their father headed the family. Lucca and Marco weren’t allowed out of the house unless surrounded by armed guards, which meant they had private tutors. When Marco turned sixteen, he was expected to learn the business, so he spent most of his time in his father’s office. We drifted apart for a few years…”

Vince’s voice trailed off, and I knew there was more to the story that he wasn’t planning to tell me. “I shouldn’t have told you that,” he murmured. “Mr. Carducci is a private man.”

“He’s also your friend, isn’t he?” I asked. I wanted to know more, but I knew better than to put Vince on the spot any more than I already had.

“Yes. He and Lucca are my friends,” he admitted.

“I’m glad they have you,” I returned before taking a gulp of my champagne. I noticed Candice hanging on the arm of a potbellied older man. “Who is he?”

Vince followed my gaze. His jaw tightened when he spotted Candice and the man with his hand on her ass. “Poppy Porcini.”

I remembered the name from Marco’s meeting earlier in the week. “Is he a friend of Lucca’s?”

Vince shook his head. “It’s time to get you back to Mr. Carducci.”

Just like that, Vince shut down again. I held up a finger and finished one glass of champagne before sitting it on a nearby table. Still clutching my back-up drink, I nodded up at Vince. “I’m ready.”

Once again, Vince walked in front of me, clearing a path. As I walked from room to room, I considered the bits of Marco’s childhood that I’d learned from Vince. Marco truly had been raised to take over the family business. The isolation he and Lucca had suffered had obviously affected them in very different ways. From what I knew, Lucca was a playboy who preferred to be in the middle of a large group of people, while Marco seemed more content to spend his evenings at home with just me and Annie for company. A thought struck me. I placed a hand on Vince’s back to get his attention.

“Something wrong?” Vince asked.

I shook my head. “What did Marco do after work before I moved in?”

Vince appeared confused by the question. “He worked,” he replied as if I should have already known.

“All the time? What about other women?”

“You’ll need to speak with Mr. Carducci about his sex life. It’s not my place.” Vince continued through the crowd, leaving me to catch up or risk being swallowed by the throng. I followed Vince down a long hallway to a heavily carved set of double doors. Vince acknowledged the armed guards on either side of the doors before knocking twice.

Lucca was smiling when he opened the door. “Come in, Ella.” He glanced at Vince. “Marco would like for you to stay close.”

Vince nodded as I skirted around him and into the opulent office. “Are you finished with your meeting?” I asked as I walked toward Marco.

Marco opened his arms and welcomed me with a deep kiss. Pulling back, he glanced over his shoulder at Lucca. “Why don’t you step out for a few minutes while I speak with Ella?”

“Sure. You want something from the bar?” Lucca asked.

“My usual,” Marco said.

Once the two of us were alone, Marco guided me to a tufted leather sofa similar to the one in his office. When I moved to sit beside him, he shook his head and sat me on his lap.

The tiny hairs on the back of my neck prickled at the expression on Marco’s face. “Is there something wrong?”

Marco cupped my right breast. “Each year, I give my brother a special gift for his birthday. Lucca has enjoyed sharing women with me in the past, but I’ve informed him that wouldn’t be the case this year.”

“You share women?” An image of Candice naked and sandwiched between Marco and Lucca popped into my head. I winced at the thought of that bitch getting her hands on the man that had captured my heart so completely.

“Yes, but the women in our lives have never been more than playthings.” He moved his hand up to cup my cheek. “You’re not that kind of woman to me, so I told Lucca no.”

I scraped my bottom lip with my teeth. Although I was pleased that Marco thought more of me than he had the other women in his life, I didn’t like the somber expression on his handsome face. Never had I considered being with two men at once, but surprisingly, the idea didn’t disgust me. “Can I ask you a question?”

“Of course.”

“Do you
enjoy
sharing women with Lucca?” I noticed his gaze on my chest and decided to give him what he wanted. I reached up and pushed the top of my strapless dress down, freeing my breasts.

Marco leaned toward me and swiped my right nipple with his tongue. “I
have
enjoyed sharing in the past, but I’ve never felt about a woman the way I feel about you. Jealousy isn’t something I’m familiar with, so I’m not sure how I would react to the sight of Lucca touching you.”

“I’ve never done it either, but I’m willing to give it a try if it’s something you want. Perhaps Lucca could watch?” I suggested. Before Marco couldn’t answer, I placed my fingers over his lips. “The only thing I’m afraid of is losing you.”

“Not possible.” Marco kissed her. “You would be giving Lucca and me a gift. He knows how I feel about you and would treat you with the respect you deserve.”

“I’ll leave the decision up to you then.” I prayed I wasn’t making a mistake. The whole situation could be a test and if so, I was sure I’d just failed.

“We’ll let him watch and see how I handle that,” Marco said before capturing my right nipple between his lips.

Like always, it felt like there was a direct line from my nipple to my pussy with each pull of his lips. I still didn’t understand why feeding Marco felt so different from nursing Annie.

There was a knock at the door before Lucca strode into the room carrying a tray of drinks. He stopped just shy of the sofa and openly stared at Marco who hadn’t released his hold on my breast. After several moments, Lucca met my gaze. “Should I leave?”

I waited for Marco to answer his brother, but when he continued to nurse as if Lucca hadn’t entered the room, I gestured to the opposite end of the couch. “I think it’s okay for you to watch.”

Drink in hand, Lucca sat next to Marco instead of where I’d indicated. Marco released my nipple before gathering a large drop of milk on the tip of his finger. He held his hand out to Lucca. “Taste her.”

Lucca stuck out his tongue and lapped the drop of milk from Marco’s finger. “Sweeter than honey.”

“Are you into lactation play as well?” I asked Lucca.

“I am now.” Lucca licked his lips. “Can I have another taste?”

Marco separated the slit in my dress, exposing most of my body to his brother’s gaze. “That’s up to Ella.”

It seemed Marco wasn’t jealous after all, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. It helped to know how close the brothers were, but the fact was, Marco was still willing to share me with another man. Slightly hurt, I shrugged. “Tony shared me with you, so I guess it isn’t any difference if you want to share me with Lucca.”

“No!” Marco spat. He removed his hand from between my legs and positioned me to face him. “I’ll share you with Lucca out of love for you and my brother. Tony gave you to me to save his own life. They’re two very different scenarios.”

Feeling chastised, I nodded. “I’m still afraid that you’ll throw me away like the others.”

Marco wrapped his arms around me before pulling me against his chest. “I’ve told you, you’re nothing like the others.”

“He’s telling the truth,” Lucca added, brushing a few errant strands of hair away from my face. “You’re the kind of woman men like us want beside them for life, and I don’t mind telling you, I’m more than a little jealous that Marco has you instead of me.”

I looked at Lucca. He was every bit as gorgeous as Marco but with an easier temperament or so it seemed. “I can’t imagine you sleeping with the same woman night after night.” Candice came to mind. “Speaking of, I saw Candice hanging all over Poppy Porcini.”

Lucca grinned. “So did I. Which is why I’ve informed Porcini that he’d bought that pussy and could take care of it from now on.”

For some reason, I felt better knowing Candice would no longer share Lucca’s bed. “Good.” I looked between Marco and Lucca. “I’ve never been with two men before, so you’ll have to be patient with me.”
