Scarlet

Sean carried my bags into the bedroom down the hall. He looked depressed as he set them down in front of the bed. “Well, this is it.”

I placed my hands on his chest and caressed him gently. “It’s only one night.”

“The measurement of time is subjective.”

“The next time we sleep together, I’ll be your wife.”

He moaned. “I can’t wait for that.”

“So you can’t play with yourself.”

“My orgasms work around the clock. I’ll have a woody all night.”

“It’ll feel that much better when we’re on our honeymoon.”

He rubbed his nose against mine. “I can’t wait to be your husband. I want everyone to call you Mrs. Preston all the time.”

“I don’t want to sound old. I’m not your mother.”

“But it gets me hot.”

“That I’m old and sound like your mother?”

He chuckled. “You know what I mean, baby.”

“I need to get ready,” I said as I pulled away.

He didn’t loosen his hold on me, pulling my hips back to him.
“One more time?”

I really wanted to but I knew we shouldn’t. “It’ll have to wait, Sean.”

“Now I want to even more.”

“Are you a child?”

“I’m just obsessed with you.” He leaned down and kissed my neck, his lips moving to my ear. “I’ll give you an orgasm that will make you scream.”

That got my heart pounding. I fe
lt the moisture pool between my legs when he said this. “Yeah.”

He pushed me back, guiding me to the bed. He lied on top of me, kissing me passionately.

I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him to me. I felt my body become hot and sweaty as we made out on top of my bed. “Sean.”

He unzipped his jeans with one hand.

“No.”

“You know you want to.”

“I said no.” My voice was weak and I didn’t mean what I said, but I wanted this to end.

He pulled away and looked at me. “You really don’t want to?”

“We should wait.”

He kissed my cheek. “I
could have you if I wanted.”

“I know you could. But be the bigger person.”

“I am
bigger
, baby.”

“Please?”

He growled then got off me, zipping up his fly.

“Thank you.”

“I’ll be rocking your world tomorrow night.”

“Good.”

He kneeled before the bed then grabbed my hand, kissing the knuckles. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too.”

“I’ll let you get ready.” He kissed me on the head then left the room, leaving me alone.

I showered and got ready for the evening. When I tried on the dress, it fit me perfectly. It was tight around my chest, holding everything in, and it wouldn’t fall down. My large breasts were pushed up, making noticeable cleavage. I knew Sean would like that. The length reached the middle of my thigh, showing my thin legs. The white heels made me look darker than I really was. I left my hair down, letting it fall across my shoulders in curls. I knew Sean’s mouth would drop when he saw me. That made me smile. He would probably try to sneak into my bedroom tonight because he would have such a massive hard-on. When I was ready, I went down stairs.

When I reached the end of the staircase, Sean turned around. He was wearing slacks and a collared shirt, looking as handsome as he always did. When he saw me, his mouth dropped, almost touching the floor. Mike was standing next to him. He had a wide grin on his face. He winked at me.

I came to the entryway and stood in front of Sean.

“You look—yeah—wow—good.”

I raised an eyebrow. “What was that?”

He gave me two thumbs up.

“Thanks for the compliment—I think.”

He grabbed my waist and pulled me into a deep kiss, placing his hand on my neck as he kissed me. The kiss was initially innocent, but it became heated within seconds. His other hand cupped my face and he slipped his tongue inside my mouth, dancing with mine.

“Ah-hem.”

I broke our kiss and pulled away.

Diane’s cheeks reddened as she looked at us. “May I introduce, Peggy and John, Sean’s
grandparents.”

Now I felt my cheeks redden. I didn’t realize they were standing there. “Hello,” I said as I extended my hand. “It’s very nice to meet you.”

Peggy’s eyes were wide. “Wow, Sean. She’s gorgeous.”

John leaned in. “You got a sister?”

I smiled. “You must be Andrew’s parents.”

He nodded. “It’s lovely to meet you, dear.”

Sean hooked his arm around my waist. “Thank you for coming, Grandma and Grandpa.”

“We wouldn’t miss it for anything,” Peggy said with a smile.

“So, you got a sister?” John repeated.

Sean looked at me. “My dirty side has been in the family for generations.”

“I can see that,” I said. “No, I don’t have a sister. But I have a brother.”

John shrugged. “It was worth a shot.”

Peggy rolled her eyes. “Please excuse my husband.”

“He’s more than excused,” I said.

“You’ve done an excellent job, Sean,” she continued. “You’re marrying such a beautiful girl and you’re taking the company. We’re very proud.”

“Mom told you?”

“Actually your father did.”

“Well, I’m finally taking my legacy.”

“You two will have a very wonderful life together.” She leaned toward me. “If you need anything, let me know.”

“Thank you,” I said.

They turned and walked away.

“Your dad’s
side of the family seems great,” I said.

“Yeah.
My dad had humble beginnings. He grew up on a farm and saved his money to go to college. For money, he would build tools and equipment and sell them. When computers came out, he started to copy them then eventually created software. He started the whole company from his garage.”

“That’s so inspirational.”

Sean shrugged. “My dad is a badass.”

“Wow. I’m so impressed.”

“His family is really proud of him. He became a man and stood on his own two feet.”

“That’s why you st
arted working for your old firm?”

He nodded. “I wanted to be a man like my dad.”

“You’ve already proven your worth.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever come close to him.”

“I think you’re wonderful,” I said as I kissed him on the cheek.

He looked down at me,
blatantly eyeing my breasts. “I must have done something wonderful to get a woman so beautiful.”

“Indeed.”

“Let’s go in the hallway and make out.”

I chuckled. “Sean, we can’t just disappear.”

“It’s our party. We can do whatever we want.”

“After tomorrow, we can disappear.”

He growled as he leaned into me. “Would it be inappropriate if I said I want to fuck your brains out?”

“You say it all the time. When have you ever cared abou
t being inappropriate?”

“Good point. I want to fuck your brains out.”

“Later.”

He discreetly adjusted himself in his pants.

Ryan came over to us. “Scarlet, you look great.”

“Thanks.”

He hugged me and kissed me on the forehead. “You really are a lady.”

I glared at him. “And I thought you were going to sweet to me.”

“Nope. It comes and it goes. Is there anything I can get you?”

“Wow. You’re being awfully nice.”

“It’s just a one-time thing.”

“I would love some champagne.”

“Coming up, baby sister.” He turned and walked away.

Mike came over to us, whistling. “There’s a fire over here.”

Sean tightened his grip on my waist.

“You remind me of a Barbie doll,” Mike said.

“Why are you insulting me at my rehearsal dinner?”

“I’m not insulting you. It was a compliment.”

“I don’t want to be thought of as fake, plastic, with big tits and long legs.”

“Fine.
You look very—pretty.”

“That’s better.”

Cortland came over with Monnique and Janice. “Where’s Scarlet?”

“I’m right here, you idiot.”

He shaded his eyes and squinted at me. “No, it can’t be Scarlet. You’re too pretty.”

Monnique hit him on the shoulder. “Be nice to her.” She turned to me. “You do look fine.”

“Thanks,” I said with red cheeks.

“You definitely outshine everyone in the room,” Janice said.

“Well, not everyone,” Cortland said into Monnique’s ear.

I smiled at their affection.

“Now that we’ve established that my fiancé is a hot piece of ass, let’s get this party started,” Sean said.

Ryan returned with the champagne. “Sean, your groomsmen are in the kitchen.”

“They’re here?” he said excitedly. He took me by the hand and pulled me away. “I can’t wait for you to meet them.”

“I already met them.”

“That was like ten years ago. I want them to see how hot my fiancé is.”

“And how nice, funny, and polite too.”

“Yeah whatever.” He pulled me into the kitchen.

Three guys were standing there, holding bottles of beer. They were all similar to Sean, tall, muscular, handsome. I could tell they all acted as each other’s wingman.

“Hey!” Sean said as he hugged them all.

“Congratulations, man,” Tim said. “I didn’t think you would ever sell your soul to the devil.”

“Well, I have,” Sean said. He moved to Will then Dean. “Thanks for coming.”

“What happened to the bachelor party?” Will asked.

“Oh. It didn’t work out.”

“What?” Dean asked. “We were supposed to fuck forty chick
s on the trip. That was the pact.”

That information made me uneasy.

“Guys,” Sean said, quieting them down. “This is my fiancé, Scarlet.”

They stared at me in silence, none of them having a word to say.

Suddenly, Will started clapping, bowing to Sean. Dean and Tim did the same.

“Thank you, thank you,” Sean said with his hand raised. “I know I picked a good one.”

“That’s ironic that her name is Scarlet,” Tim said.

“Actually, she and Scarlet are one and the same.”

Their eyes widened. “Yowza,” Dean said.

I used to be a little heavier in college. They obviously remembered that.

“You picked an excellent trophy wife,” Dean said.

“Actually, I’m not a trophy wife,” I snapped. “I have a personality too.”

Tim smiled. “And she’s sassy. I like it.”

Sean held my waist. “She’s the girl of my dreams. I can’t believe she’s willi
ng to put up with me.”

“Yeah,” Will
said. “Hold onto her. She probably won’t even need a boob job.”

“Excuse me?” I snapped.

Sean released the hold on my waist. “Baby, give me a moment with the guys.”

“No.” I turned to his friends. “You can objectify other women and treat them like your dirty whores but you can’t treat me like that. Talk to me like that again and I’ll pop you in the jaw.”

They fell silent.

Sean sighed then looked at them
. “Don’t talk to or talk about my fiancé like that again. If it comes down to it, I’m okay with getting married without you standing next to me. If you can’t do that, then leave now.”

Will spoke first.
“I’m sorry, man. We were just joking around. We really didn’t mean to make anyone upset.” He looked at me. “Sorry. I’m just used to talking to Sean like that. I didn’t mean to offend you.”

“We’re sorry,” Dean said quickly. “We took it too far.”

Sean looked at me. “I forgive you if my fiancé does.”

“Just don’t let it happen again,” I said.

They breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let’s try this again,” Sean said.

“So, how’s Seattle?” Will said.

“It’s good. We like it there.”

“I heard you’re moving back,” Tim said.

Sean placed his
hand around my waist and held me tightly. “We are.”

“Taking your place as king?” Dean asked.

“You could say that.”

“Good. We haven
’t seen in you in forever,” Tim said. “After you got with Penelope, you disappeared.”

“Don’t mention her name ever again,” Sean snapped. “And I’ve been out of the loop because I’m done with my old life. I’m settling down.”

“What?” Dean asked. “No more parties in the city?”

“No,” Sean said. “Scarlet and I know how to party at home.”

“Well, we’re happy for you,” Dean said.

“Thank you.”

I pulled away from him. “I’m going to talk to Ryan.”

He didn’t release me. “I’ll come with you.”

“No, spend time with your friends.” I walked away without looking back. Sean’s hand slid from my body because it didn’t have a choice.

“Hey, why the long face?” Mike asked.

“What?”

“You look pissed.”

“I do?”

“Your eyes are on fire.”

“Sean’s friends are assholes.”

Mike looked over my shoulder. “I never liked them either.”

“Yeah right. They are just like you.”

“They
were
just like me.”

I shook my head and tried to walk away.

He grabbed my wrist and held me back. “Talk to me, Scar.”

I sighed. “His friends are just cheating pricks. They treated me like I was just a figure in Sean’s life, a trophy to put on his desk. I can’t believe Sean used to be like that.”

“Key words; used to. Sean only asked them because they are the closest friends he has. He wouldn’t have invited them if he knew they would be rude to you. You know that.”

“It still pisses me off.”

“And Sean is nothing like that anymore. Cut him some slack.”

“Okay. I’m sorry. I just blew up.”

“It’s fine. I just don’t want you to leave my brother.”

“I won’t.”

“Good. Because he’s my best friend. I couldn’t let that happen to him.”

I smiled. “I’m glad you guys are close again.”

“Thanks to you.”

“I try.”

Cortland and Ryan came over.

“Damn, who died?” Ryan asked.

I looked at Mike, asking him to be quiet. “Nothing.”

Mike took a drink of his champagne and said nothing.

“Who are you trying to fool?” Cortland asked.
